Wow.

http://www.nba.com/games/20161205/INDGSW#/recap

"Thompson had an NBA season-high and career-best performance for the highest-scoring output by a Golden State player in more than 42 years, and the Warriors whipped the Indiana Pacers 142-106 on Monday night. At one point, Pacers coach Nate McMillan looked downright speechless during a quiet timeout on his bench.

Thompson raised his arms to encourage more of those steady ''KLAY! KLAY! KLAY!'' chants then let it fly again and again. He had 60 through three and called it a night, sitting down with 1:22 left in the period as fans jumped to their feet for an extended standing ovation."

I hope the Devin Booker/Klay Thompson comparisons come true some day.

I'd be ecstatic if DB was even three fourths as good as Klay is today.

I'm very pissed about this too. I've been sick for over a week and couldn't sleep and last night I fell asleep at 8 without even starting the game on tv. So of course Klay goes for 60!

the funny thing is there have been 28 higher individual scoring games for the Warrior franchise. 1 by Rick Barry, 1 by Joe Fulks, and 26 by some guy named Wilt Chamberlain, sort of puts things in perspective.

Kobe came close he had 62 in 3 quarters. In fact when he left the game he had 62 and the Mavericks team had 61.

Klay's night:
60 points
33 shots
52 touches
88.4 seconds of possession
1.7 seconds per touch
1.2 dribbles per touch
1.154 points per touch

This is a case of just how crazy some advanced stats are nowadays but it doesn't make his accomplishment any less impressive. I'd like to see similar stats on Kobe's 81 point game vs Toronto a few years back for sake of comparison.
