Just turned the game on at halftime. It looks like the Suns are struggling with the Knicks.

Yeah we were down by 11 earlier but closed the half strong. Our roster and their roster, not much difference without Knight and Len.

I'm starting to wonder if Bledsoe plays better when he does not have any competition at PG. Maybe this is what he needs to develop.

I was hoping the Suns might take advantage of a bad team on their home court. Some teams actually do this... the Suns not so much.

Like I said, there really isn't much difference between our roster and theirs right now. Despite what our record suggests, we really aren't that much better than them. We're enough better that it will be a disappointment if we were to lose to them but not a shock by any means. Our fans are looking at the names on the Knicks and asking who in the world are these guys. Knicks fans are saying the same thing looking at our roster.

But we have Bledsoe and the Morris twins. I didn't want to be a name dropper but there you go. :)

Which, most nights, is 2 positives and 1 negative. So yes, we are better than them. The Knicks are the worst team in the league. Without Len and Knight, we're probably bottom 8 or so.

Brandan Wright with a career night in a Suns uniform with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Eric missed a triple double by one rebound, where's Goran Dragic when you need him?;)

The two of us should go celebrate the victory at the Sunset Grill. It seems fitting.

I don't know but Tucker almost took out one of his teammates to get a rebound in the latter minutes with Bledsoe standing nearby.

you've been making this point for the last few games and I generally agree. However there is no comparison between the Phoenix Suns roster with or without Alex Len/Brandon Knight, and the New York Knicks right now.

Would it surprise you to learn that our players have a combined 43,000 minutes of NBA experience and tonight's Knicks are just 2,000 minutes behind us? We are a better team and we have a better roster even without Len and Knight. I just don't think the difference is all that big when we're having to give minutes to Earl Barron and Seth Curry.

As I said before, our current roster (minus Len and Knight) is among the 8 worst in the league. No research, purely off the cuff. But it wouldn't surprise me to discover I've been generous with my ranking.

I agree. Their roster is hot garbage.

One piece of their garbage I would like us to get is Cole Aldrich. He looks like a big white stiff but he had some deft passes in the paint. I checked his stats and see that he's averaging 11.5 reb/36 for his career and his rim protection stats were very good as well for both of the last two years. He's an 80% career FT shooter. Twenty six years old, 6'11 & 250, listed as a C on a 900K contract. He's a fifth year player and his minutes will likely triple to 1000 for this year so the Knicks probably don't want to get rid of him - but if they're cleaning house or banking on him being under the radar we might be able to snatch him. Oh, crap, Phil Jackson is their GM now and he's very good at knowing what he can get out his bigs... we can probably forget stealing him...

In a van...down by the river.
I wish the Suns had their balls.
Ping pong balls i mean, for the next draft. Watch the Knicks draft Okafor and the Lakers draft Towns...while the Suns draft...some guy.

Makes me wanna puke to be honest. How the same handful of teams wind up getting ahold of quality bigmen over the years is just another reason i can't stand the NBA anymore.

I'd rather have Okafor than Alex Len. But if I knew that Len was going to get and stay healthy, I wouldn't trade our guy for Jahlil. Okafor will be an instant double-double but he'll never be the defensive force that a healthy (and rested) Len already is. Towns? That's a different story. He's not as good as Okafor right now but unlike Okafor, he's nowhere near his potential.

yeah, I liked him coming out of Kansas and thought he would be doing more by now. If I remember correctly he was an unbelievable pick and roll center. I thought he looked really good in the summer league last year as well. I still like Brandon Wright despite his slight build, but whether he's here or not next year we need another big center.

The Knicks ran a pinch post play in the 4th Q. Our perimeter defender relaxed a bit after his man threw the pass and gave up an uncontested layup when he got the ball back on the 'pinch'.

They might have started the play a couple of times earlier with Bargnani but he turned and shot quickly so the passer flared away instead of 'pinching' - that makes hard to say for sure. But it is a standard maneuver in the triangle and both types of play are options.

I fail to see why Jeff couldn't implement a play like that for times when there was no eartly attack available - its not like it takes 15 seconds to set up.

I would give the Knicks anything they want for their #1 pick this year.
No hesitation. The Suns need a building block. We don't have one currently on the roster. Len and Warren are my keepers, but that wouldn't keep me from moving them in this hypothetical scenario.

Don't look now but the Spurs just lost to this hot mess of a Knicks roster.

And they did it starting two PGs! In fact, they played three PGs 106 combined minutes. Maybe our FO and coaches could learn something from these guys... whadda ya think?
