Per Clayton on Doug and Wolf.. Eagles waiting to see what happens with Hassleback so they might be able to get Seattle involved.. Eagles want to see all options..

Bob McManaman from the AZ Republic was just on ESPN and said a deal will be done within hours. Should be a lot of speculation today.

Then CLayton said T. Jackson could be the first trade/signing from a QB going to Seattle.. Which takes the Seahawks out the Kolb sweepstakes..

Hope something happens quickly otherwise I'm going to have to keep checking the internet every 5 minutes all day!

A couple of days, and potentially be out of the Orton / Hasseback sweepstakes, doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

Puts too much leverage in Philly's hands.

Make best offer; set a deadline... and be prepared to move on... is the way I'd approach it.

Exactly. If they want to make us wait, try to get Orton in here, I say.

I took the day off work and planted myself in front of the computer with the NFL network on TV (muted) and radio on.

The Cards are not going to let the Eagles drive the price up on them by playing games with us by pulling this crap.

Word is we have in fact contacted Hasselbeck and the Broncos about Orton this morning.

Good!

But, Tennessee and Miami, respectively, are probably in the game for those two.

If the trade happens quickly, it is probably because the Cardinals overpaid.

Good to hear! Hasselbeck is the best choice for a win-now approach IMO.

I like your idea! If we sit around waiting for Philly to get the best deal all the decent QBs will be gone and we will have another Derrick Anderson type deal. Put our best offer out there and put a short deadline on it. I mean a real short deadline. Also have Plan B read to execute immediately. Even Plan C.

good.

i have no problem if we end up with Hasselbeck and make some other major moves to shore up the rest of the team while keeping draft picks in check.

Totally, the fact that this deal isn't done tells me that the Cardinals are sticking to their guns and NOT overpaying for Kolb which is a very good thing. The Eagles obviously thought there would be more real interest than there is and now they are holding out waiting for someone to come in with a big offer. Dont let them play you Rod!

That is good news. I really don't want Hasselback, but I'd rather have him for less than Kolb for more.
