To Skelton (or Bartel)....your Cardinals QB Wasteland Survival Guide.
Well Skelton, if you plan to stand in the pocket like a normal QB, just realize you're doing so with the tackle blocking prowress of flag football (there isn't any). Just pretend you don't have tackles, and playing with 3 o-linemen and you'll have a more accurate judgement of how things will unfold.
Given this, I suggest you proactively wear a flakjacket. I also should stress that you should beg Whis to use 6 ol on a regular basis, keep a te in, and a rb to chip. Now not all plays should you have those three extra blockers, but for many you should.
Also don't worry about the int's, you'll have no time to read more than two receivers. So just make sure they are on different sides of the field so no one can accuse you of locking in on one receiver. You won't have more time than that, and once you step up, make sure you risk running into your ol, rather than turn around. You won't know which way it's coming, but rest assured, the pressure will be coming from behind you, the majority of time from the left, the majority of the time from the right, and many of the time from multiple people from one side, or both.
On the couple drop backs a game you actually have time, don't be surprised (although you should be), you must complete these passes, as they will be your only shot.
Don't throw to Andre Roberts, he's the new update version of Skillet hands...at least when it's a difficult, not a perfectly thrown pass.
Good luck Skelton, you're going to need it. This is the worst line you've been behind, not upfront, but from the tackle position. These guys just suck.
