kordell called mcginnis monday night buying time..was all worried about who he was going to throw to..thank you kordell..

question:: why is it that we (cardinals fans) all think (me included) that jeff blake is way better than plummer..but the national media (and the broncos and bears) think jake is 10x the qb that blake is? what are we/I missing?

My 2 Cents

Living close to Cincy means I've watched a bunch of Bengal games.

Being a 40 year Card fan means I've watched a bunch of Card games.

The reason the national media is up on Plummer is because they haven't seen him play that much. He has the rep and they are sold on it. He may do better in Denver....but he has zero arm strength.

I've seen Blake a bunch....he can scramble....but has a rifle arm....he's cocky....that's good....QB's can't lack confidence.....like he said in the press conference..."I'll open up the running game because everyone knows I can throw long".

Amen to that.

What a great day!!!

I have watched Plummer play in every game of his career in arizona..and I agree with your assessment. I would agree that all of the people touting him have not seen him play..but the broncos have film and have seen him play.. The plummer turnover problem (about as bad as I have seen from a long time starting qb) weak arm, total inability to read defenses.. but a great scrambler and sometimes improviser..

On the other hand, I remember blake running for his life in cincinnattii..and I watched him play for baltimore last year - and thought he revived their team. Someone (billichek) must be high on either redman or griese.

On one of the articles that were written after plummer signed it noted how shanahan had a tape of plummers good and bad plays.

Its funny that they must have had to stretch the film on each play a few seconds longer, just to make sure they could fill up one tape of his good plays.

Meanwhile they probably had to cut out 10 tapes worth of film just to fit his bad plays on one tape.
