1a. Vince Young, QB- I know that this pick would be popular with some, hated by others. And there is a chance that he won't be available. But if he is, I'd love to see the Cardinals jump on him. He brings a mix of passing ability and rush ability that would bring a new dynamic to our offense. His passing skills are underrated, but he would need a year or two on the bench.
1b. Winston Justice, RT- Another pick that would be unpopular with some fans, but Justice has the potential to be a dominate tackle in the NFL. And lord knows, we need a good tackle. He would probably be able to send Ross to the bench immediately, and would be an upgrade. The only reason he isn't mentioned much in the top ten is because of maturity issues.
2a. Ko Simpson, FS- Simpson might slide a little, and Denny Green probably would not let him slide past us. A ballhawk who can play the run, Ko was the SEC freshman of the year a few years ago. Would pair with Wilson to give the Cards two dynamic playmakers at safety and would dramatically improve our overall pass defense.
2b. Charles Spencer, C- A center at Pittsburgh he is really growing into a fantastic player after moving from the defensive line. He's still a bit of a project, but he could be a starter for years after a year of work. A bit of a gamble, but the payoff is worth it.
3. Joe Klopfenstein, TE- He should still be available at this point in the draft, as this tight end class is deeper than most. Klopfenstein is already nearly as good a receiver (if not better) than any tight end on our roster and has the potential to be a much better blocker. He might not start right away, but should be by the end of his first season.
4. Dale Robinson, MLB- Robinson is flying under most people's radars, he has the ability to come in and improve our special teams right away. While his game isn't suited to starting at the NFL level, Robinson could develop and is a playmaker and big time hitter.
5.Cedric Humes, RB- Is the replacement to Marcel Shipp as the Cardinals' 3rd RB. Is a big, physical back suited for goalline running and short yardage downs. Doesn't have elite speed nor elusiveness, and that's why he isn't talked about much.
6.Joe Toledo, T- A former tight end at University of Washington, Toledo has great size (6-5, 332) and speed (5.11 40). He is a developmental prospect with a good upside and worth a pick at this point in the draft. Many teams have found starters at this point in the draft on the oline and the Cards need to start looking more.
7.Jeremy Bloom, WR- A lighting bolt player, he should be able to compete for a kick returner slot. Might not be available, as speed is in short supply.
