It’s been a couple of years since Syfy announced a series about Superman‘s long-lost home world, Krypton, set in the days of Kal-El’s grandfather, Seg-El. The series is spearheaded by Man of Steel and Dark Knight trilogy writer David S. Goyer, and the pilot was directed by Colm McCarthy, and written by Goyer and Ian Goldberg (Once Upon a Time).Damian Kindler (Sleepy Hollow) is on board as series showrunner.

Looks expensive and it appears to completely destroy canon. I am wonder if they will establish early on this is also an "alternate universe" as they have done on Supergirl and Smallville.

I watched the pilot last night. Decent show but the pilot was weak...seems they put more work into all the "Behind the scenes" crap during commercials than they did for the show itself.

one hour pilot and over half of it was show runners telling us how great it is going to be. could have been great if they had just shut the hell up and run an hour long pilot.

Brainiac will be a good villain... but I thought Galactus was the devourer of worlds?? Maybe its a marvel/DC thing... I dunno

I will keep watching but I really hope those idiots shut the hell up and let the show speak for itself.

I thought it was interesting. However, I sort of feel like I did when Smallville came out. Cook concept but doesn't mesh with canon. I have to say, TV shows as of late have been stepping up their game int he FX department. I don't now how many of these new shows on streaming and TV are keeping budgets in check anymore.

I used to think a Star Wars Live action show was just too cost prohibitive. As of late with the quality of FX I have been seeing with show like this, Altered Carbon, Star Trek Discovery? No wonder Disney is doing it anyway.
