How about Matt Leinart or Vince Young? Before you stop laughing, I'll remind you that our top QB now has a 46.7 career rating.

#13 is a month & a half from being a Hof'er. Stop the madness people :mulli:

Exactly. If he came back (he's not), he'd have wait another 5 years to get inducted. I'm not sure I'll be alive to see that, so I want him in there NOW!

I'll buy into these threads and stories of Warner coming back when I see him board a private jet to San Francisco to mull over a contract with them first.

Even if KW wanted to, he's more than a month away from being in playing shape and getting to know the offense. The mistake BASK made this season was not getting a contingency in place when Palmer went down after week 1.

Exactly. Kurt even says this himself...

In fact, in one of the interviews he did today, he admitted he doesn't even have any NFL footballs at his house to throw. So, no, he hasn't been doing the drills it would take for him to step in and make NFL game throws this year.

As for contingency plans after week 1, the same names kicked around the last day or so would be kicked around them. And, they all seriously lack which is why they are not in the league. No one could foresee Palmer getting hurt again, and Stanton getting hurt twice. That's serious bad luck.

Of course its not going to happen. It is absurd to think that it could. But since we are fan(atics) and don't HAVE to includ logic in our thought process.....

Kurt signs and along with BA and Tom Moore sit down and hash out a bastardized version of the offense. We win our last 2 games and roll on through the playoffs and into the Superbowl where the Cardinals are not only the first team to host a Super Bowl, but are the first to win one on their own field.

Succumbing to public pressure the NFL decides NOT to remove Kurt from the HOF ballot and he is inducted less than a year after winning a Super Bowl.

BASK win the Coach of the Year and Executive of the Year awards. And it is announced that a film of the credible stories of the Arizona Cardinals and Kurt Warner is in the works.

Wink to Monty Python fans:

Steve Keim to John Idzik: "Go and tell your master that we have been charged by God with a sacred quest. If he will give us food and shelter for the night, he can join us in our quest for the Quarterback.

John Idzik: "Well, I'll ask him, but I don't think he will be very keen. Uh, he's already got one, you see."

Steve Keim: "What?!?!?!?"

Bruce Arians: "He said they've already got one!" (*snicker*).

Steve Keim: "Are you sure he's got one?"

John Idzik: "Oh yes, it's very nice!"

:thud:

And then he farted in Keim's general direction. :moon:

Hey its fun to dream. Kurt Warner now is still ten times the QB Lindley, Thomas or Stanton is now. If Warner were to join us I think we have an easy Super Bowl win. Will he join us, most likely not, but again it is fun to dream.

It's still being rumored that he has the Cardinal's playbook & is working out. If Stanton doesn't return, it's still a remote possibility that Warner would consider coming back for the playoffs. It depends on how poorly Lindley plays & whether Stanton has any chance to come back & still be able to move. Unbelievable!! I remember Parcells saying that true drop back QB's could throw the ball even if they are 50. What a story that would make? Brenda's head might explode!

Why? We all know the chances are next to nothing but what's wrong about talking about it?

Agree 100%. When you can possibly have the #1 seed, when you have a stud LT, and when your D can dominate like ours, you absolutely consider the possibility. We have never been a #1 seed & we have only won 11 games once in our history. We may never do this again. Warner's body has probably never felt as good as it feels right now. It's a huge long shot, but why not kick that tire.
