We share some of the same guys at the top.

Putting Purdy above Burrow is lunacy for me.

You would trade K1 for
Stafford
Purdy
Prescott
Hurts
Stroud
Herbert
Goff

Those guys would be awful on this team and I don’t think any of them are better than K1. Goff is the only guy I could make an argument for.

Burrow has lost some of his luster the past two seasons for me. Still way good, but Purdy was in the NFC Championship game and Super Bowl the past two seasons. It’s time to take him seriously.

If salary and age (meaning the next 3 years) weren’t a factor, I’d take any of these guys on my list ahead of Kyler.

People are out over their skis following walk-off wins against teams who are a combined 6-11.

I am specifically thinking salary and age because when we talk replacing him, we have to

No one had this attitude going into those games.

Plenty of people on the board were saying we would lose to the Chargers and the Dolphins. Now that we have won those games this is the sentiment. Laughable and I already know what would have been said about K1 had we lost.

Kyler had one good run against the Chargers and one good half against Miami. No one should be taking a victory lap.

Anyways…

One thing I CAN thank Monti for is giving Kyler & the offense some bullies at WR. Marv, Michael, Zay, & Higgins(if you wanna count him) are all at least 6’2 or taller. As opposed to working with Hollywood, Rondale, Isabella, Byrd, & Kirk who all were under 6’0. Even Hopkins is shorter than all those listed in the former. Fitz & AJ were washed.

By playing lights out and well enough to win the game but being let down by other parts of the team. Pretty obvious. Playing conservative and risk-averse in certain losses is the opposite of clutch.
Clutch has never been associated with losing no matter the context.

No one said K1 was clutch last year when he drove the team down to be in position to win and Prater doinked a FG for the win.

You guys aren’t being serious again.

Not in these categories:

Intended Air Yards (14)
Intended Air Yards per attempt (14)
Completed Air Yards (11)
Completed Air Yards per Completion (11)
Completed Air Yards per attempt (12)
Passing Yards After Catch (22)
Passing Yards After Catch per Completion (28!!! Lower than Jacoby Brissett! 0.2 YAC/C more than Deshaun Watson!)

BUT IF YOU DON'T COUNT ALL THOSE DEFINITELY TOP 10
This is a flawed way to look at these stats. For instance, if a QB was 10th in every one of these stats would he be the 10th best QB in the league? No, the reality is that he would probably be closer to a top 5 QB because some QBs will be higher than 10 in some areas and lower in others. Kyler is in the top half of the league in 14 of those 21 stats and that in spite of being in a run heavy offense which will mean lower totals and per game numbers.

In the 3 comeback wins over half the yards on the final drive have come from Conner and they have all been won by the kicker. Not sure what clutch plays you're thinking of.

Now that just hating to hate. Someone has to get those players in position to be successful. Someone has to deliver them the ball, and someone has to call the correct plays.
Those all fall under K1 in the two minutes offense. And I'm no Kyler backer but you have to give him his props when they're earned.

This is a very weak take. Probably more importantly is that I guarantee you nobody in the locker room agrees with this nonsense.
