Minski
Hall of Famer
Don’t understand all this. How do we know he hasn’t been working out with a QB guru?
He has those for what? Less than 6 months of the year, and apart from possibly a few weeks in OTA's where they are in pads at full speed they don't have much time during the season to teach fundamentals. They are breaking down previous games, watching tape of upcoming opponents, doing weekly installs and game plans etc. And that's even if you think a 33 year old with 3 years as an assistant should be given the keys to the Ferrari in the first place. Which is another story.
But if you ask why does he need it well why is 9 year vet Russell Wilson training with Drew Brees in the off season?
Why has Mahomes, Watson, Allen and Burrow been coached by guys like Jordan Palmer in the offseason? Why have Brady, Ryan, Stafford, Brees, Goff, Dalton, Eli Manning, and Flacco among others trained with House and Dedeaux (now 3DQB) in the offseason?
Why has Ryan, Prescott, Brees, Zach Wilson, Fields and Lance and others worked with John Beck in the offseason?
Why do other QB's, including seasoned vets, think off season coaching is required but our raw, inexperienced 2 year QB doesn't? Here we have @Chopper0080 saying Kyler is behind the curve because of his lack of college playing time. So wouldn't some intense coaching by specialist QB guru's in the months where neither Kliff or Cam Turner are allowed contact with him help him make up some of that ground? It certainly can't hurt.
There are only 4 possible reasons I can think of that he's not,
1, The Cards prohibit it (I don't see that at all. All other QB's do it and why would they hold him back? Plus I'm not sure they can legally tell him not to in the offseason)
2, He thinks he doesn't need it. He's already great (This is my biggest concern, because he isn't)
3, He just can't be bothered and would rather work out at the gym, play COD and chill with his boys.
4, He thinks the high school level coaching his Dad can give him is enough

Don't take this wrongThey ain't secret underground camps.
Every QB that ever trained with a QB guru is reported.
I don’t think you understand。They ain't secret underground camps. Every QB that ever trained with a QB guru is reported. If not the player or the coach themselves putting out videos or press releases then the media pick it up and have little else to report. Or another QB in attendance let's it out.
He hasn't and I'll happily put a hundred bucks on it so it doesn't get mentioned again. Especially as his physical trainer said he's been working out in his gym every day since Jan.
Please provide a list of QB coaches that starting QBs around the league are working with and a link to this easily accessible information. They ain't secret underground camps. Don't take this wrong
But with you being a Brit and using "ain't" made me laugh
I always thought it was American slang and the Brits are so proper
I watch a lot of BBC shows and I've never heard it used
Again Britcard, Kurt Warner has already said that the QB tutoring is nonsense. QBs will know what prepares them for the season the best.
Just because it worked for one guy doesn't create causality for everyone.
Edit: And I think Warner knows more about it than some internet jags
You do have a tendency to talk in absolutes. My favourites have been “Simmons is actually a safety” and “Collins will play OLB”.
I do hope Kyler can show you that he has improved this year though.
I just don't see the need to write "I think" in front of every proposition on an internet forum where everything is 100% opinion.
When someone brings it up it always reminds me of "The Good Wife/The Good Fight" which I'm guessing doesn't get much play in Arizona but is a good show. There's a judge that insists all lawyers in her court end every statement with "in my opinion". Like it isn't obvious.
When you write "Jordan Hicks sucks" I don;t need you to write "I think" to know that's just your personal thought. Even though it may be shared by others.
Yes but if u say Jordan Hicks sucks is based on something we watched on the field, so u can just differ about his level of suckage but he was clearly bad
When u say collins is going to play OLB when he was a full time ILB is a bit of a stretch, fortunately Keim very few minuts later stated he is going to play ILB, otherwise u would have kept saying it till September
LolI did a vote** and here are the results
126% - Kyler isn't working out , too much time on video games and needs a QB Guru ,
13% - The off season is boring and gets so overblown
(**Dominion voting machines were used for this vote)
Every time I watch breakdowns I keep thinking man we should have kept Dan Arnold.
You definitely won’t get those big plays from the TEs on our roster. Max is pretty damn slowyeah me too. He made half our big pass plays last season.
Every time I watch breakdowns I keep thinking man we should have kept Dan Arnold.
How tall are they? How tall is Arnold? Uh yeahhhhhhh . . .They are plays you would expect anyone we have in the slot to make though right? I like Arnold, but I'd expect Kirk or Moore to make those same plays.
