Lady Wildcats hoops

So I couldn't possibly care less about basketball.

And as an ASU alumn, UA basketball is of even less interest (if that's possible).

UA women's hoops? Pffft.

But I was listening to Jim Rome today, and had to look it up to believe it. For their game against Oregon State, UA ended up only dressing 6 players (for various reasons). Due to foul trouble, they ended up playing the final 1:28 of regulation, and the first OT period, 4 on 5. They finally lost by 6 in the second OT period, and when the final buzzer sounded, they were playing 2 on 5. Playing an entire OT period short handed and forcing yet another OT is freaking awesome.

Way to fight, ladies...

I read about this, pretty funny if you ask me. Supposedly UA Women's Hoops has gone from a decent program to the joke of the Pac-10, the Livengood haters I know in Tucson that follow the non-revenue sports complain to me all the time about it being another notch in his belt as he guts the athletic department of any successful program.
