In fact in our pick and roll NBA challenge I picked this series to go 7 games and I'm still standing behind that. The Jazz have some of the best scorers in the game and the Lakers have 2 great scorers behind some good role players.

Should make for an amazing series.

Game 1 - Lakers win.
Game 2 - Utah wins.
Game 3 - Utah wins.
Game 4 - Lakers win
Game 5 - Lakers win
Game 6 - Utah wins.
Game 7 - Lakers win.

And then the Lakers versus the Hornets!? Damn whata series that would be. Hornets will be all over them.

OK, I'll play.

Game 3 - Utah wins.
Game 4 - Lakers win
Game 5 - Lakers win

Spurs and Hornets will go 7. Lakers will beat the Hornets in 6 or Spurs in 7.

I'm the biggest anti-Lakers person out there, and I don't like it, but this is the way I see it. Unfortunately, they're pretty damn good. I picked them to lose to either Boston or Detroit in the Finals, but even that is looking shaky now.

I expect nothing less. I can't even bring myself to predict how it will go. I do believe we match up well though, and I think we will win the series.

Not the way the Spurs played yesterday , it won't.

And I pick Utah to upset the LAkers.

the matchups in this series are very interesting. you have boozer and odom going at each other, which will be very fun to watch. Then you have okur and gasol, neither of whom can guard one another by any means. That also brings the lakers best shot blocker outside on the perimeter probably. Fisher and Williams will also be excellent to watch. They know each other well and are ex-team mates. Fisher is a good defender so it will be fun to watch how he plays williams. Combine all of that with the fact that you have 2 of the best benches in the league going at it, as well as 2 of the best homecourt advantages in the league and you got a great series.

Agreed all the way around. This team scares me more from a matchup perspective that either NO or SA.

Go Lakers!

Lakers won't be able to win in Utah. It'll be over in 6 games. Lakers role players shoot like garbage on the road.

Lakers role players shoot like garbage on the road.

Jordan Farmar shoots 45.367% on the Road (Link.)
Vladamir Radmanovic shoots 48.707 on the Road (Link.)
Sahsa Vujacic shoots 46.964 on the Road. (Link.)
Luke Walton shoots 42.800 on the Road. (Link.)
Trevor Ariza shoots 55.319 on the Road. (Link.)

Walton's 42% isn't that good, and Ronnie Tuiraf is a meager 41% on the road, but to say "the laker role players shoot like garbage on the road," just shows you know nothing about the Lakers.

I hate Farmar, I wouldn't mind him starting for the Suns.

Uhm, perhaps you are confused with which team is terrible on the road.

yeah, that's the Jazz.

The Lakers are a top 4 road team.

And no, the Lakers players shoot very well, thank you, on the road.

The Jazz seem to be unprepared on defense. They get screwed up on defense on every other posession and someone ends up wide open. Unless they fix that, their gonna have to be the Warriors and just outscore everyone.

They do rebound the hell outta the ball though and that keeps them in games and the scores down.

They killed the Lakers on the boards big time. The only thing that saved it for the Lakers is their defense foced the Jazz into tons of bad shots. After a while, the Jazz even started missing the easy ones. It's gonna be tough for LA to continue to win though if they're going to get out rebounded that badly.
