When Kobe Bryant is playing 44 minutes, scores 35 points on 11-26 shooting, and the Lakers still lose a meaningless preseason game the writing is on the wall. The Lakers are going to be lucky to play .500 basketball this season. In fact even that may be a stretch.

Kobe Bryant is currently leading all players in minutes per game during the preseason. He's played 37 minutes per game so far.

And those reports from ESPN that Chris Mihm looks like their third best player are incorrect. He's their second best player. Odom is playing like garbage.

Good to know Min and LA L. will be having trouble soon for a long time. Minn. is so much in cap hell that the team is really going downhill soon.

I wouldn't get too excited just yet - they don't have Grant playing or Vlade - but I do hope this continues on into the regular season. Man was I WRONG about Kobe - what a complete douchebag that guy is. Hopefully he tears the Lakers down for more than just this year and the year after and hopefully they become the Nique-esque Atlanta Hawsk of the 80s.

I can't fathom while Kobe is playing so many minutes in the preseason?

They still have Kareem Rush to go with Butler right?

I have been very happy that the Suns reserves are getting good minutes.

Grant has been playing...just off the bench and not very well. As for Kobe playing lots of minutes, I think he's just trying to shoot himself into a groove for the season. But it's stupid because the Lakers have 268 swing men.

hadn't noticed Grant -- been paying toomuch attention to election stuff (will someone please deprogram CNN, MSNBC and FOXNEWS from my cable box - I hate watching them - but I find myself there over and over again) and baseball - I think Kobe's just running the entire organization right now. Rudy T took a horrible job.

Whatever it takes to shutup Laker fans. I've heard too much of the "Kobe is God" talk over the last few years, so I can't wait to see how this little experiment fails. :thewave:

yeah, but mihm is actually playing very well. watched some of the games and defensively, he's gotten it. wish the suns had him. he'd be our best center.

I'm thrilled with Kobe destroying the Lakers but I can't post here yet because I promised cheesebeef I wouldn't until the Colangelos were eradicated from the Suns organization. So just ignore this.
