Lakers front line just a tad deeper. He is not a game changer but gives them some more depth on the front court. They get Joe Smith in a 3 way trade. They end up giving up Sasha Vujacic and the Lakers 2011 first round pick.

Houston gets Terrence Williams and gives up their 2012 First round pick.

The Nets get those 2 first round picks in hopes of sweetening a deal to get Carmelo Anthony.

Anthony may not want to go to the Nets, although the Nuggets can try to send him there but he can kill the trade by informing the team he will not be signing an extension with them.

The Lakers first rounder might as well be a 2nd rounder, for all the worth it has. I can't imagine it's a deal maker for the Nuggets.

Yea, seriously the Lakers first round pick is so low, who cares. The chances of that pick becoming anything is probably less than 10% or even lower.

That is all true but if Denver is trying to stockpile picks to help build in the future, that is a similar tactic that the Portland Trailblazers used to become somewhat relevant again.

Makes sense for the Lakers and pretty much no one else, but that's still a lot to give up for a 35-year-old 4/5. And he's an old 35 because he was an early entry kid. He's got 15 years on those legs. He was giving NJ about 6 minutes a game and none of his stats register in whole numbers. So they just gave away a primary second-team ball handler and a 1st-round pick for a guy they will probably have to coddle to get him to the playoffs with fresh legs.

It makes sense for Houston.

But their trying to copy the Suns by trading for forwards and guards. And just like the Suns, it'll get them no where.

For the Lakers to get rid of Vujacic is addition by subtraction. The whole team hates him.

Yep, that's the positive for the Lakers. That and having some Bynum insurance, although Joe Smith isn't going to help them all that much.

My take although the Lakers are in position to roll the dice.

The happy part for me in this is that atleast Vujacic wont get to coat-tail his way to anymore rings. I hate that guy.

There's a great joke here that unfortunately the censor won't let me make.

You just have to be creative. Besides, his sister's cat would get whipped. There's a name for that, you know.
