I guess Amare can no longer call him "lucky."

this lamar odom story has turned hollywood. My theory is that he doesn't want to be in dallas realizing that he has no future beyond this year in dallas with the mavericks looking to sign deron williams and possibly dwight howard if he's not traded. However, lamar is being unprofessional by not giving 100% effort on the court. I understand that he may have trouble buying in because he is new, but other players like terry, marion, carter, haywood, etc also are facing the same scenario after this year. none of those guys are guaranteed to be back, but they are playing. Roddy Beaubois' dad just died (surprisingly) and he is back on the team throwing his body around. Delonte West was apparantly homeless(not that I feel bad for the guy) but he goes out and balls and visits homeless shelters etc to give back. lamar is whining like a little kid, but he has it better than most other people. His wife appears to be frustrated that he was traded suddenly without warning and is struggling with the lifestyle of being a NBA spouse. IMO this is what is going on behind the scenes. I guess in a few months we will watch it unfold on tv.

I hear that he is going to suit up with the mavs tonight, not go to the dleague. Rick Carlisle said that lamar was the one that wanted to play a dleague game to get his legs under him and prove his loyalty to the team. but i think that would be a PR nightmare in this case. carlisle said odom owes it to the team to play his ass off and was pretty harsh with his thoughts on lamar's play so far. but he wouldn't say what is going on with lamar right now off the court.

You could see this coming. Seriously, he was not happy there and they were not happy with him. No way I guy drops off the cliff from last season this badly.

He is now ineligible to help some team in the playoffs so I am wondering if Lamar just hangs them up or goes on the market next season.

I hate players like this. They are ****ing professionals that get paid millions of dollars. You are not happy? Dude, be a ****ing professional and man up and play for the team that WANTS you and PAID for you.

You were traded because other teams WANT you. If you don't like Mavs, then play a good season and give other teams a reason to want to get you.

Now that you **** up this season and see your value goes down the drain. Yeah, real smart professional.

****ing dram queen, just like D. Howard. NBA has spoiled the players so much that it's sickening. The new Orlando Magic owner is Howard.
