If healthy and his mind is right he would be an upgrade over Shipp and JJ, so the answer is yes.

Not a lot of tread on his tires either. Solid pick up maybe a 5th rounder for him.

Why would you have us give up a draft pick for a player whose career is probably over, as publicly admitted by his agent this week?

I tried to post the link here but the Contra Costa times link provided at NFL.com on this story is down right now. Go to the NFL site and read the latest updates.

Jordan will probably be released outright, it's just a matter of when. (This is not fact, only my opinion)

Yeah I mentioned this last year Lamont has a fairly serious back injury he's been hampered by it for nearly 2 seasons now. A friend of mine used to live in the same neighborhood as Jordan he said the guy literally struggled to take the garbage out he couldn't believe he was actually playing in NFL games with his back.

He doesnt fit the mold of what we need, a fast, breakaway type of runner. He'd be the same thing as Shipp and James

But, if healthy, Jordan would be an improvement over Shipp. Thats his roster spot. Don't automatically give the 2nd Rb to the rookie.

Unless he can play special teams, nope. He is a slight upgrade as a pure RB (and even that is probably debatable), but Shipp has more value in ST.

I wouldn't mind seeing them take a run at Jordan if he's released but if it takes a trade, I'd just assume they pass. He'd be a decent #2 back though and an upgrade over Shipp, IMO.

Had no idea about his injury, OAK is still hoping to trade him and his release wasn't a certainty until recently. But if the injury is as serious is speculated then I say take him off the radar.

I hadn't heard either.

IF healthy (which sounds like a qualified "no") he'd be a valuable guy to have on the team.
When he was with the Jets he was a kickoff returner and a good change of pace for the ageless Curtis Martin. He's an above average receiver out of the backfield (like it matters in the offense the Cards run, but still).
He was capable of running inside and out.

Decent RB before getting slammed by the Raiders' super-porous offensive line.

Too bad.

And if Christopher Reeves wasnt in a wheelchair he'd be the ideal Superman..

I didn't know about the injury either and, knowing nothing about him as a player, I only looked into it when some of you wanted him. Frankly, his past production, from what the stats reflected, suggested you were right in wanting to take a look at him.

Then I saw that Costa blurb and Russ filled in with the injury report. It still amazes me how much unique info various fans around the country can share.

Why does everyone seem to consider Shipp the second RB?? Last I checked, Arrington was getting most of Edge's leftovers.

If L jordan is healthy, sign him. Too much pressure is heaped on rookie RB T Hightower. We have to improve our backup RB's. Edge will get his, but we can't go another year with Shipp/Arrington rushing for 150 yrds. The Cardinals were 29th in the NFL in rushing the footballs. A better OL will help that, but we need another RB.
