Former Georgia quarterback Carson Beck was one of the most high-profile transfers this offseason, moving from the Bulldogs to Miami in reportedly one of the most lucrative deals in college sports.

Beck, who has a $4.3 million name, image and likeness evaluation according to On3, is the third-most valuable college athlete in college sports behind Texas quarterback Arch Manning and Duke forward Cooper Flagg.

Beck's reported deal gave Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin an opening to deliver some classic trolling in a recent podcast appearance on "The Pivot," which is hosted by former NFL players Ryan Clark, Channing Crowder and Fred Taylor.

"Miami gave him $4.3 million dollars?" Kiffin said Friday, "Did they watch his game against us?"

Kiffin was referencing Ole Miss' 28-10 win over Georgia last season in Jacksonville, Florida, in which Beck completed 20 of 31 passes for 186 yards with no touchdowns and an interception. The Rebels also sacked Beck five times.

Beck's exact NIL deal with Miami hasn't been reported, with On3's tool serving as an approximation of his value. 247Sports reported after Beck's commitment that Beck was given $4 million by the Hurricanes.

The 6-foot-4 quarterback was solid last season, passing for 3,485 yards with 28 touchdowns to 12 interceptions before suffering a season-ending injury against Texas on the final play of the first half of the SEC championship game.

Beck was one of the top returning quarterbacks in college football last season and was among the preseason frontrunners for the Heisman Trophy. He looks to get back on track with Miami after a solid but unspectacular season in 2024.

Kiffin's quote was likely just the Ole Miss coach trolling in his typical ways, though.
