I've posted numerous threads over the years, praising this great man for both his on and off the field performance. He's not perfect of course, but man is he close! And the older he becomes, it seems the tougher he becomes. His performance on a painfully bum ankle this past Sunday was vintage Larry... 10 tough/gritty catches for 74 pounded out yards.
Larry is now just 28 catches from #3 on the all-time receptions list - passing Terrell Owens, Tim Brown, Cris Carter and Marvin Harrison. He's 660 yards from becoming #7 all-time in receiving yards, passing James Lofton, Andre Johnson (who just announced his retirement), Steve Smith, Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison. And he's 8 TD's away from becoming the #6 all-time in receiving TD's, passing Antonio Gates and Tony Gonzalez.

What hurts though is that it now seems a certainty that Larry won't get what he truly deserves most... a ring. At least not wearing a Cardinal uniform... Of course, he's so damn classy and grounded that it probably hurts me more than him... But how great would it have been to see the best player in franchise history bring a Championship to Arizona!! :(

I pressed like but then I had to remove that like when I got to the whole "What hurts though is that it now seems a certainty that Larry won't get what he truly deserves most... a ring. At least not wearing a Cardinal uniform"

I doubt Fitz goes to another team next year. The only thing he may do is retire.

Agreed, Fitz knows the Cardinals have taken care of him and I believe he will acknowledge that loyalty by remaining a Cardinal until he decides to hang up the cleats.

OH I agree... I am not suggesting he would leave... I just feel for the guy...
