I believe Larry Fitzgerald WR Pittsburgh's dad worked for Green in Minnesota. There is a good chance that Green likes Fitzgerald and might consider him at number 3 in the draft. I think without a doubt the Cardinals will draft the best player available. That has been Green's MO as a coach/gm. I think it is very hard to forecast what the top three teams will do in the draft.

Has he even declared for the draft? He is only a sophmore and could secure the #1 pick and millions of dollars more if he stayed in school one more year

To me, it has sounded more like his Dad's idea to declare early than his. Plus, it's far from a slam dunk that he'll even be allowed to declare.

It's not that far from a slam dunk. I thought I read somewhere that "sources" said if he were to declare the NFL wouldn't challenge.

I think L.F. has a legal issue about his eligibility before he can declare for the draft.

He meets all of the requirements laid out by the NFL. I think the league realizes this and wouldn't contest.

Yep. Eric Swann was even more iffy, and once his agent started talking legal action, the league allowed him to enter the draft.

That's what i like about Green's drafting strategy.Take the best player available. If it happens to fill a need then it's a plus.

He certainly looks pretty smart for drafting Moss, Culpepper, and Michael Bennett. People questioned every pick at the time, and now those three are pretty good players (Moss is a great player).
