New show this fall. Probably the one I am waiting to see the most.

Shawn Ryan (The Shield & Chicago Code) is the creator.

Plot:
The show is about the renegade crew of a United States Navy Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine, the fictional USS Colorado (SSBN-753), that defies an order to launch nuclear missiles towards Pakistan, a decision that cost the previous commanding officer his job when he refused to follow similar orders without an explanation or confirmation.

Andre Braugher as the captain of the Submarine.
I love this guy.

For me, this was easily the best series or even season premiere this year. Strong first episode.

Yeah, now THAT'S how you put together a pilot episode (hear that, Revolution?). I can't wait for next week. That tape he made was chilling.

yeah... i heard it was a really solid pilot and I thought it would be a hit, but it's numbers were really low for a series premiere. Lower than Pan Am in the same slot and that died a very quick death. sadly, I'd caution y'all not to get too attached.

Entertaining pilot, but lots of suspension of disbelief necessary in this concept. It also should have been a two-hour pilot, the pacing was too quick as they tried to set up the whole show in one hour.

Still pretty good. A whole hell of a lot better than Revolution!

As was said earlier.... This show might be doomed.

People need to watch this dang show!!!!

http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/10/16/abc-last-resort-666-park-avenue-are-certain-to-be-canceled-but-when-will-it-happen/152948/

Last week, I changed my prediction for 666 Park Avenue to "certain to be canceled" this week I'm changing Last Resort. The Cancellation Bear is certain he'll be feasting on both shows by the end of the season.

While both shows are certain to be canceled, folks often wonder about how long they'll last on the schedule. Guessing that timing is a lot harder for the cancellation bear than just the final outcome, but I'll give it a try.

History:
Last season, Charlie’s Angels lasted 7 episodes going 2.1, 1.5, 1.2, 1.3, 1.3, 1.2, 1.1 [yank] in Last Resort's timeslot.
Two seasons ago My Generation went 1.6, 1.1 [yank] in that slot.
Pan Am lasted 14 episodes on Sunday at 10pm last season, going 3.1, 2.6, 1.9, 1.8, 1.8, 1.8, 1.7, 1.8, 1.5, 1.3, 1.2, 1.2, 0.7, 1.2 [yank]

Present:
666 Park Avenue has gone 2.1, 1.7, 1.5.
Last Resort has gone 2.2, 1.9, 1.6.

Both of this seasons doomed dramas are doing better than Charlie's Angels, but worse than Pan Am. On that basis, I'd expect somewhere between 7 and 13 episodes each. An extra episode or two ordered for scheduling purposes (like Pan Am received) would not surprise me. Although certainly any extra episodes will give hope to the crazy and desperate, just like Pan Am did last season, some of whom still aren't sure it was canceled. Did I mention that it did great internationally?

Will be watching this Thursday since I don't want this show to fail. Rare for me to watch the show when aired. I usually use 'on demand'...

Slightly positive news..... http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/10/19/abc-picks-up-2-additional-scripts-of-both-last-resort-and-666-park-avenue/154015/

Networks-Show-Their-Love-For-Low-Rated-Shows Day continues as Deadline reports that ABC has ordered two additional scripts of both of its struggling freshmen dramas Last Resort and 666 Park. Though an order of additional scripts does not guarantee that more episodes will be filmed, it is a sign that the network has not given up on a show. Sometimes it means that the network is working with the producers to make some creative changes in a show and wants to make sure that the tweaks are working before committing to spending lots of money on new episodes.

With so many new shows debuting to low ratings, it looks like the networks are both lowering their expectations and taking more than numbers into consideration.

Vegas, baby, yeah!
Got caught up on this last night based on several recommendations.

Solid show so far, but the question is where are they going to go with it? That's what I'm waiting to see.

I like the magic horsey (BIM note - is it horsey or horsie?) box that suspends the law of physics and the character development, but Um concerned about the story lines on Chaplinstan.

Well based off number we likely will never get a chance to see where it goes :(

This is the most "lost" like show that has come out. I can see a lot of twists and turns when it comes to this show if it can survive.

I'm letting the episodes back up on the DVR, I hate to invest a lot of time in a show that seems certain to get the axe. The numbers just aren't there to keep this show alive. Maybe we'll get lucky and ABC will take a gamble but I doubt it. It's too bad, I think it's the best new show on broadcast TV and second only to Hunted (Cinemax) if you include all new shows.
