Who will it be? Week 6/7 and there are still at least 10 teams in the running.

Poll forthcoming.

This will be multiple choice and public. Bowl loss does not count. Regular season only.

There are a few clashes that will eliminate some of the choices.

Alabama vs. LSU
Kansas State vs. Oklahoma, Oklahoma State
Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State

I think it's a pretty standard choice between Alabama/LSU vs. Oklahoma/Oklahoma State. Right now it looks like a slight lean towards Alabama/Oklahoma.

Boise State, Clemson, and Wisconsin on the outside looking in.

Did anyone mention playoffs?

If say, LSU, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin are undefeated at the end of the season, but the BCS MNC game is between LSU and OU, think B1x will still thiink having no playoffs is great?

I'm guessing Ok State serves up with a stinker at some point and falls to one of:

- Baylor
- K State
- Tech
- Oklahoma

Cowboys defense doesn't thrill me. Neither does Stanford's, but they have the kind of offense that can score on anyone. Powerful and wonderfully balanced, led by the smartest QB since Manning. I like Weedan, too -- he's 27 years old -- but Luck is fun to watch even when he doesn't throw a pass. Everything he decision he makes on a football field is like a symphony.

I'm biased, yes, but I think sudden development of QB AJ McCarron gives Alabama a huge advantage in the SEC. He's really accurate and knows when to take chances. They already have a powerful offense. When defenses get after him, he shows athleticism and the strong decision making.

Alabama vs. Stanford would be a 1926 Rose Bowl re-match -- overdue! -- and an outstanding national championship, I think. It's too bad it won't be in the Rose Bowl. Not the same game (came a year before), but the 1925 Rose Bowl forever changed the south.

IIRC, the train ride back for Alabama took 12 days, because once they hit Texas there was a celebration at every train station along the way.

Clemson can do it. They just outscore teams.
Toughest game on schedule is final week game @ South Carolina.

I see Kansas State losing to
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
Texas

Houston could and should run the table.

Stanford @ USC and vs Oregon should be land mines.

Boise State vs, TCU home game is only threat that I see.

Agreed. K State will fall. Ok State will fall. Stanford will lose to Oregon (I see them beating USC).
Houston and Clemson should run the table. Of course, Boise St will too.
And I see Bama spanking LSU.
So, we'll have:

Bama, Boise St, Clemson and Houston going undefeated for the season... Bama will win the national championship. And the Boise St debate will rage once again...

ESPN seems to be already throwing out a LSU alabama rematch for the title. That would be terrible, especially if there is another undefeated team or 2 out there. I think Alabama wins that game.

Houston has a good shot of running the table, but they may not climb very high (Kind of like when Boise first went undefeated)

Clemson has found a way to win some close games, so we'll see if they slip up or not. they seem to be able to pull them out, which is a good sign for them.

Oklahoma state can score a lot of points, so we'll see how they end up. And Oklahoma can struggle with the hurry up like they did with Texas Tech.

Boise's game against TCU and San Diego State will be tough. but they are playing well as a team right now. Kellen moore needs one more win to becoming the all time winningest QB. I'd love to see them get in a BCS game with a SEC team, but unless there is chaos, they won't make the title. (This weekend went a long way to potential chaos.)

Houston Cougars won again, in a monsoon, 73-34.

Case Keenum threw 9 td passes, and amassed 534 yards passing yards.

Cougs are 8-0.

Gotta go with Houston. Pretty easy schedule left. At least Boise still has a decent TCU team left, which can always be trickey. If they get past that one, it is smooth sailing for the Broncos too.

Oklahoma State has Oklahoma for a regular season ending game and a possible Conference Championship game.

LSU has Arkanasas at home and a conference championship game against Georgia (?).
