Thanks for all your kind words. I am going home tomorrow, having survived viral pneumonia, a tracheotemy, and two crash codes, that all began with a simple head cold.

Melanie echoes my thanks. She read me all my e-mails and all the posts each night and printed out your well-wishes for me to see.

Last week, I made my piece with God and was ready and willing to go. Daily drowning in my own phlegm had finally beaten me.

But today, I am still alive, although weak, and my first thought was to get on here and communicate. We have a tight little community and I feel as if I know most of you, strange as that may seem.

Football brings us together but friendship and camaraderie is what makes ASFN a great place.

I pray for health for you and yours in this new and exciting year.

Now it's time to get back to football.

Reliable sources have told me they saw a guy who looked a lot like you in Tahiti last week.

On another note, in case you actually were in the hospital, stay out of those places. I am reliably told people die in there.

In either case, welcome home.

Welcome back Jim! Now get some rest and build up your strength...

I (along with the rest of the board) can't wait to hear your thoughts on the hiring of Denny Green!

Glad to hear you're doing well Jim. I was very concerned when I heard you had gone into the ICU. My mother is a vet of 30+ years as an ICU nurse, and I've heard my fair share of horror stories. Suffice to say, it's good you're back and I'm very happy to hear you're doing better.

Good to hear you're doing better, Skorp.

Get lots of rest, you will want to be feeling 100% for this offseason. It should be fun to watch!

Then our prayers were answered. While football is the reason we all converge here, one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back is the quality of information available to me, the passion with which it is delivered and the fairness in which the community is governed. We owe all that and more to you Skkorp. And while I realize that many others contribute to this place, you will always be the "face of ASFN" to me.

Welcome back. You obviously have more to do here.
