Jurecki was on FSN-AZ last night.

I expected him to say: "Pssst! Sims or Justice."

Instead, he speculated the Cutler was a definite possibility if available at #10 and that the Cards should take the long range view and draft their successor to Warner by selecting Cutler.

He also speculated that, if the Cards don't draft Cutler, they'll select a defensive player - he mentioned Ngata, Sims and Huff as possibilities.

He did not mention Justice. He did not mention Bunkley.

What does it all mean? Not very much. It tells us that the media guy who figures to have the most inside info about the Cardinals' draft isn't placing all his cards on one specific guy. It also suggests that DG and RG like it that way - they're keeping their options open and, more than in past years, are holding their cards very close to their vests.

Anything can happen. I really think our draft could go in any one of 6 - 8 different ways.

Just watching The Ocho and one of the draft guys said scouts at Justice's Pro day said the best situation for winston would be to sit a year and learn. We need somebody to start and have an impact right away and if Cutler or Justice or Young can't do that I really dont think its worth drafting them.

Green and Graves aren't so stupid as to give that fool any info that could hurt them come draft day.

in this crazy year, a year in which the Cards are opening a new stadium to sell out crowds, and in a year where they signed their biggest free agent ever, i could even see them shocking us all and trading up for Leinart or Young if they are there around 6. Who knows. Saturday will be a blast.

i also believe the cardinals will trade up for a future qb. if they don't trade up for a qb i wouldn't be surprise if they traded for one of the top 3 qbs in the draft. remeberring the rivers, manning trade. this should be interesting. people must not be to impress with next year draft class at the qb position.

I think it comes down to 3-4 players. Young if he somehow falls would be the #1 option. From there I think they will get to take whoever they like best between Sims/Cutler/Huff Any of the above I will be very happy with...

The only other player I see them eyeballing is Justice. But IMO he is on the outside looking in.

Sims is the big wild card here. He's not worth the 10th pick even if he fits our plans like a glove. I'm smelling a trade down, if not then Cutlers the pick at that spot.

I'd like to say that Drafting NGata gives us alot of options along the D line - but maybe they're looking at someone like Gabe Watson in the second round as well. Or possibly Wroten. I do think they'll address the middle of the line at some point. I just don't know when.

And if Justice is out of the picture OT in the 2nd or 3rd is almost a definate according to Green.

I don't think the Cards will trade down. If the team is going to choose a QB and it looks like Cutler will be there, then I think the Cards take him. We can't afford to give up too many of our other draft picks in a trade.

Of course, if Young falls to 7 things could get interesting, but I doubt Oakland will pass on Young or be willing to trade the spot.
