So our big screen tv crapped out and I can't get permission to get it fixed(this is at work).

We have a screen in the lunchroom anyways that we use for meetings and I'm assuming I can just hook up the Dish Network box to a projector and display it on the screen?

But what about sound, I only see one jack on the projector that has a speaker symbol on it can I just take standard computer speakers and
hook that up?

Most projectors have at least the Red/White analog inputs. Are you sure this one does not?

What is the model of the projector?

How old is the projector? Many of the older projectors only have a single mono or stereo jack.

It's got the red, white and yellow and one of them is for sound. It turns out it has a built in speaker, I hooked it up and presto Dora the Explorer.

Now I just need a set of cables long enough for me to move the projector further away from the Directv box because it's so far away from it now the picture is like 3 times the size of the drop down screen.

But the sound was more than adequate, not much worse than a standard tv speaker pretty cool.

Thanks.

The Red and White connections should be stereo RCA's (left and right). So you should be able to use those to connect to a receiver if you want better sound. The yellow should be video.

PS Dora?!?! lol.
