Anyone have any advice on which 26-32 inch LCD TVs might be better for video games.

Primarily XBox 360.

Is it a DLP, or the older models that are built like tanks?

Thanks.

I would guess that response time is probably the most important feature for gaming?

size, response time, contrast ratio, black levels, in that order. IMHO.

It's a CRT projection, over 200 lbs. I would prefer something lighter but this thing is sick and was a fantastic bargain.

55" of high def glory.

I had one of those, 55" Mitsubishi. I decided to get rid of it because I was moving all the time, and ended up moving to an upstairs apartment. For the 2 and a half years I had it, I didn't really have any problems with it... (except for the one that was dead on arrival)

Not that I am in the market for an LCD, but the more that I look, the more I like Sony.

I just got a 46" Sony Bravia and I love that TV. It Has a great picture with no blur.I'll take a Sony every time.

I have a Sony SXRD LCoS TV and I love it too. The LCD's are impressing me more and more.

We have a 32 inch Sharp Aquos in our breakroom and the PS3 should be hooked up to it soon. I should get to play with it soon.

We're getting one of those for the living room. No video games on that though. Just Cardinal football and baseball games, Longhorn football games, and DVD's of old Cardinal football games will be allowed on that TV.

BTW:does it really make much difference for gaming if the TV is 720 vs 1080?

Depends on your eye, how close you sit from the TV, and the material used.

Lots of people say that faster moving scenes, (like sports) look better in 720p vs. 1080i.

We are usually within 5' of the TV. The boys are even closer. I'm constantly reminding them to move back. I think I'll go with a cheaper 720 since the major use of the TV will be for xBox 360.

Thanks for your help.

I have never, ever, met one person that has owned a Samsung that has been happy with it. Picture may be OK while it actually works. TYou would really put that at the top of the list? Pretty shocking.

Interestingly enough, the Samsungs and sonys are built in the same multibillion dollar factory (if i remember my info correctly)
