LCD tv problem

I have a 46" Samsung LCD in the living room, bought last Sept. We have noticed an occasional red line, kind of a static line through the screen, every once and a while. Some of the time you can tell the screen turns a green hue, like the red has gone and then goes back to normal.

I believe this is recurring more frequently. I know the tv has a 1 year warranty. Should I wait to see what happens and put in a warranty claim closer to Sept? What could be the issue here?
