The only way to prevent concussions in this sport is to banish the game or a players to just not play.

I just find the players soooo hypocritical when they sue the owners then bitch about the rules changes...its football. Players may get dinged, but then struggle mightily to get back into the game ASAP. But let's sues the owners for malice!

I heard a discussion on a local radio show that talked about how the concussion rates in football were lower than other sports, and that female athletes were far more likely to suffer concussions, particularly volleyball and softball players. Looking for a link but I'm not finding it.

One Mad Dog Radio host was all over this. Calling it Nanny State, Politically Correct propaganda. And the the execs that got ESPN into it to begin with were idiots who should all be fired.

There is a helmet out there that is expensive but has extra special padding for players. I don't know why they are not being mandated in NFL. The league and manufactures must keep on looking for ways to protect these guys against themselves.

I would love for them to come up with something for the ACL. Which appears to be the most common injury in football.
