It has now been six days since LeBron James suffered a groin strain in the Los Angeles Lakers' 111-101 loss to the Boston Celtics on Saturday. He will miss his third straight game on Friday when the Lakers visit the Denver Nuggets, and he's expected to miss at least a week or two of action.

James reportedly returned to Los Angeles this week and is said to be progressing well in his recovery from that injury. Per Chris Haynes, he will be traveling to Sacramento to attend a high school state championship game that his son Bryce is playing in, with the support of the Lakers.

The younger James is a senior in high school at Sierra Canyon School in the San Fernando Valley. At 6-foot-6, he is thought to have plenty of raw potential as a basketball prospect moving forward. He has committed to playing his college ball at the University of Arizona starting this fall.

The Lakers will return home on Sunday for a matinee game against the Phoenix Suns.
