This guy is a beast and a FA. Imagine the combo of him and Ellington. He is the type of back you need in a division with such physical defenses. With him pounding away at the belly of the D in a run first O, a new stud TE that can block and catch along with a FA LT, the receiving weapons we have would be devastating. Any queses on what kind of contract he will attract?

Not much. Guys like him come along every Sunday. You especially don't want New England guys who are the proof that jimmies and joes are NOT more important than x's and o's in the NFL.

That holds true in most cases but there is nothing x and o about Blount, it is pretty straight forward like the way he runs. The guy is brutal and a good physical back that has little do with any scheme masking that ability one would think lol

Did he have any off fierld issues in Tampa and that was why they traded him to NE? Just asking because I thought that was the case.

Ok did some research. I could not find any off field issues but he was suspended in College for hitting an opposing player after a game. Suspension was 8 games. Had one incident in training camp with Tennessee where he puched a DE. Other than those he has been a good player.

I think he would be a good addition

Hence, he would be the Dockett of the offense and actually our offense is lacking an enforcer type. We used to have one named Boldin and then a completely out of control one named Reggie Wells lol

I just don't see any reason to pursue a FA running back, especially Blount, and I'm a believer in his talent.

Stepfan Taylor wasn't a world-breaker, but was solid in limited time, especially for the price tag. Ellington needs to be the starter next year, and Taylor can split time with him effectively. I'd also like to see Ryan Williams get one more offseason if his knee is "ready." At the most, we can draft a guy in the late rounds with a power style.

I heard he was horrible in pass protection, and none to smart either. Thus Tampa let him go.

But, we have seen how well Tampa Bay has been doing lately so......

That being said, I'll pass and hope the Cardinals do to.

He makes Marshawn Lynch look small and we all know how Lynch sets a tone for the Seahawks.

Personally I would prefer the team pick up a FA RB at a reasonable price than use a draft choice on one. I think the draft choice could be better spent on a TE, S, or Oline as well as a backup NT since we are a little slim there. A speedy WR would be better than a late round RB who may not even make the roster.
