In the comic he was the secret son of Prof. X, had multiple personality disorder and from what I remember each personality had a different power. Not sure how the TV show is going to write him as it is supposedly outside of the regular Marvel Universe (or an alternate universe according to writers)

Now that's interesting. He must've come about after I stopped reading comics. and so it's part of x-men lore which makes sense that it's in FX (and hellfire on fox) as they are 20th century fox properties.

Legion follows David Haller, a troubled young man who may be more than human. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and visions might be real.

Loved the first two episodes. Bonkers is a good description. Keeps you off your feet, which helps to immerse you in the crazies life.

I am wondering if the yellow eyed devil, and the maddest boy in the world, plus all the people who yell at him, are paranormal or just his imagination? Is he a mutant, or more paranormal like Ghost Rider?

This show continues to be fantastic. Just when I think it's getting too conventional they go all crazy again. Awesome.

I almost started this and then someone on my facebook went on a rant about how terrible it was the other day and so I backed out.

You guys seem to like it tho so maybe I will reconsider.

Meh. It was a good episode, but I'm sick of this trope. I'm especially sick of it lasting more than a full episode. All the awesome momentum Legion had...well, it hasn't come to a grinding halt for me, but the driver's standing on the breaks, which are squealing, and we're slowing down fast. I hope they get past it, post-haste.

Man, I think I am about 4 or 5 episodes in and this is the weirdest show that I am watching right now.

There's a chapter 6 out. It is even crazier. From the previews it looks like 7 helps "normalize" things a bit, thank god!

i thought it was solid, but I wasn't salivating to see the next episode.

Where does it rank in terms of Luke Cage or Iron Fist in your opinion? Better, about the same or worse?

Better than Luke Cage and didn't even bother with Iron Fist.

That said, do NOT expect a typical superhero show. It's REALLY damn out there and doesn't follow any kind of traditional superhero story line.

I mostly agree with this, and definitely agree with the second part. I'd say the first half of Luke Cage was better, but Legion was better overall. Except, like Cheese said, they aren't anything remotely alike.

Appreciate the insight. I will check it out.

AMC's Into the Badlands is a WAY better martial arts show then Ironfist, if you are looking for a martial arts based TV show.
