Also - while you may be an optimist, that doesn't mean the only other choice is pessimist -- there's also the REALIST and judging from the past three year's results(and opinions prior to them), it appears that unfortunately for ALL OF US, the realists have got this team pegged. Doesn't mean they don't hope to be proven to be pessimists - I know K9 and I both hope we're dead wrong, but until we are proven wrong, you can't call the guys who have a handle on the team correctly for the last three years pessimists... sometimes things just are as they are - like the Democrats being pathetic or the Republicans being corrupt - no amount of talkie-talkie will change either of those things - only actions do - same thing goes for our "beloved" team. I'm sick of the talk - it's time to walk the walk.
Since they can't walk the walk yet, let's just see how that goes before endlessly looping back about how awful management is/was/will be.
Fact is Leinart dropped the most value wise of any pick in the draft, the Cardinals like him a lot and said so, that equals a hijacking in the making and when all is said and done if he gets a deal better than his slot, then you will be proved wrong, slotted value it's a tie, less than slotted value you win hands down.
I'd even grant you might get a tie breaker if they just pony up slotted value, considering his status as a QB and what not but again, factually you have no idea what negotiating ploy was used by his camp, none.
What the media gets is almost univerally skewed towards his side of the arguement because the Cardinal side rarely talks about it.
You and your arguements are tailor made for the Leinart camp, he's loving stuff like that, not that it really matters but in essence that's exactly the kind of club they are trying to use.
The final deal when done will either exonorate the Cardinals or Leinart, I'm betting on the Cardinals.
