On Saturday, Leon Edwards won his eighth straight fight in the UFC's welterweight division with a unanimous decision victory over former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos. The five-round contest served as the main event of the UFC on ESPN 4 fight card. Edwards has not lost since he dropped a decision to current champion Kamaru Usman in December 2015. Despite his winning streak, Edwards was the No. 12 ranked 170-pounder heading into his matchup against the No. 4 ranked dos Anjos. The win should send Edwards, who defeated Gunnar Nelson and Donald Cerrone before his bout against the former lightweight champ, rocketing up the rankings.
