I just picked this up from the library. I remember it doing very well at the 99 Academy Awards. It’s currently ranked #78 on the IMDB top 250.

Amazon:

Amazing film.

This wasn't already a thread?

I searched pretty hard, but couldn’t find it. I was surprised that I couldn't find one on this movie. If there is one already, please delete or combine this one.

This movie never achieved "suspension of disbelief" for me. Hiding a kid in a Nazi death camp for months on end? I didn't buy it.

I felt the same about Jurassic Park. Jeff Goldblum as a chaotician? WTF?

I actually found it to be very believable. Wouldn't surprise me if stuff like that actually happened.

Awesome movie. I need to buy it. :)

I just watched it. I’m glad that I finally got around to watching it. Guido started to annoy me a bit during the first half of the movie, but I got used to him. While watching it I kept thinking to myself that the boy looked very familiar. Then when I looked him up I saw that he was also Maximus’ son in Gladiator.
