We were having a little bit of discussion on this in another thread, so I thought I'd post a new thread and see what ballparks everyone likes. Post your top 10. Try to be as unbiased as you can. You don't necessarily have to have been there to put it in your favorite 10. Pictures, TV, video games, etc. give you a pretty good feel of stadiums even if you haven't actually been there.

Here's my Top 10 (in order)
1. AT&T Park (Giants)
2. PNC Park (Pirates)
3. Fenway Park (Red Sox)
4. Wrigley Field (Cubs)
5. Camden Yards (Orioles)
6. Coors Field (Rockies)-I think the altitude and humidor crap is a joke but the ballpark itself looks pretty sweet...
7. New Busch Stadium (Cardinals)
8. Comerica Park (Tigers)
9. Safeco Field (Mariners)
10. Chase Field (D-Backs)

Unfortunatly I think Chase is going to end up out of my Top 10, the Mets have a sweet looking new stadium on the way. Anyone seen pics of it? It looks like it may be among the best.

Honestly I think once you hit about 6-23 or so most ballparks are pretty much as good as the next. I think the top 5 maybe 6 on my list really stand out, the rest are great and each have their positives and negatives, then you get to the dumps.

I've only been to Kaufmann, Chase Field, Busch stadium (new and old), and the old Jack Murphy Stadium. So of those, Chase is my favorite, w/ the K a close 2nd.

A lot of people seem to like Kaufmann. I've never been but it looks like it's a pretty neat stadium. Very unique. Maybe I'll have to try and get out there to see a couple of games there someday. I may wait until after they renovate it to go. I think they are doing that sometime soon aren't they? I think Selig promised them an ASG whenever it's done.

How did you like New Busch? I went last year and saw the Cardinals whoop the Dodgers twice :) I liked it a lot, it has a very old time feel to it but it still has all of the things newer stadiums need these days. I thought the 2nd deck in LF hanging over the fence was pretty neat too. Overall I'd say it's probably the 2nd or 3rd best I've been to.

Both the Mets and The Yanks new parks are going to be amazing!
My top 10 of course start with Yankee Stadium. It's simply the most historic, most inspirational, and most breathtaking facility in all of pro sports...
I ranked a bunch in that other thread, but aside from Wrigley, Camden Yards and Fenway, many of the others are lumped together... Love them, but a bit indistinguishable...

Yeah, once the Mets, Yanks, Nationals, Twins, A's, Marlins (if they can ever get one), all get new ones I think just about every stadium is going to be a great ballpark and you will have your one's that stand out and the rest are pretty much just personal preference on which is better I guess. I wonder if the Devil Rays will ever get a new one... I'd rather see them move honestly. Either way, they need a new one, because the Trop is just horrible.

I wasn't too impressed w/ new Busch to tell you the truth. Its very cookie cutter, doesn't have anything unique about it. Also the concourse is far too narrow. There is nothing wrong w/ it per say, but there is nothing right with it either.

Interesting. I'm going to the Rangers ballpark next week so I'll get to see how it ranks among the others I've been to. New Busch was head and shoulders above Great American Ballpark (Reds) so if New Busch didn't seem that great, the others such as PNC, AT&T, etc. must be super nice. We're hoping to make it to PNC this year to see a couple of games.

I think Great American Ballpark is by far the worst of the newer stadiums. It's terrible. It's quite an improvement over Cingery Field but still it's nothing compared to the other new parks.

With the mob
1. Chase Field.

That's it, the rest suck because some other crappy ass team calls it home.

:D

List of top ten I hate?

1. Yankee Stadium. Filled with the most vile, disgusting team in baseball, and their fans.

2-10. See #1

No votes for "The Cell?"

I went to a Sox game at Comiskey to watch Bo play. It is by far and away the worst I've been to.

1) Wrigley Field... And I hate the Cubs

2) Camden Yard. Awesome

3) Anaheim Stadium. Been to games before and after the remake and they did a great job.

4) Coors Field. I caught a game when the weather was nice and I enjoyed it

5) Chase Field. Avg park, everything you need for a stadium in the desert.

6) Dodger Stadium- Horrible, they should tear it down. I don't understand the infatuation with that stupid stadium and their stupid Dodger Dogs.

7) Comiskey- I haven't been since they tore out the upper rows but that place is a complete dump. My dad has been to the old Commiskey and said it was the best ballpark he's ever been to (over Yankee Stadium and Wrigley). The new Commiskey is extremely ugly with its powder blue seats and is just an overall dull stadium.

I will be going to Shea Stadium and Petco Park this summer and I'm excited about it. Shea is supposedly a dump but it should still be fun

But they fixed up the Cell. :)

Cell has better grub than the Chase. And you can take the train to get to it. And they used to shoot at people in the upper deck from nearby projects. And they have a new desert cart near my cousins seats.

Please call and offer free seats, cousin.

I haven't been back since they redid it. I forgot to mention that it's in a horrible part of town. The southside is no walk in the park.

True story...... As I said above, my dad took me to watch Bo Jackson play when I was 10-12 yrs old. Leaving that game (it was around 10pm) I noticed that my dad would ease up to red lights, give it a quick glance both ways, and then run it if there were no cars coming. I asked him why he was doing that and he told me and my sister to stare at the back of the front seat headrests until he told us it was ok to look outside. He probably overdid it but it's funny lookin back at it. I've been to the southside since and I don't blame him, especially at nighttime.

This is off topic but my dad has also said numerous times that the old Blackhawks arena was unreal (I'm assuming the Bulls used to play there as well). I think the name was Chicago Arena but I might be way off. He said the United doesn't even come close the old arena and that the Blackhawk games were an absolute blast to go to.

Chicago Stadium was supposed to be much better. There are definitely parts of the Southside that are scary, but not the whole southside. I would say that the part of town that the Cell and United are in are pretty seedy. But there are other parts of the Southside that are okay. I live about as far North as you can get.

I go to Chicago about 2-3 times a year and I know exactly what you're talkin about. I prefer not to stray from the downtown area, rarely go south of the financial district

I always liked Bo Jackson. Who is worse Ron Santo or Hawk Harrelson? I say Ron Santo. He is too goofy. And Hawk is good for unintentional humor.

My roomate in college is probably the biggest White Sox fan to walk this earth. Because of that, I've come to hate everything about the Sox.

To be partial, I don't have a huge problem with Hawk but I think he's too dorky and goes over the top.

i'll only list the ones I've been to:

1 - SBC Park - loved that place, had great sightlines of the game, bay bridge and the water - fans were pleasant, stadium packed - beautiful summer afternoon - really enjoyed it

2 - Safeco - if you don't like the smell of garlic this may not be for you - I however had a couple really enjoyable nights in this stadium

3 - Camden Yards - my old roomate was an orioles fan so we would make the drive down - another nice stadium

4 - Coors Field - was kind of empty and cold when I was there, but the park had a great feel to it

5 - Chase Field

6 - The Vet - thankfully it's torn down and unfortunately I never saw a game in the new stadium - however bad the vet was as a baseball park, I had a lot of good times there - including a yankees/phillies game that had of $60k in attendance - fans split about 50/50

7 - Metrodome - not as bad as some say, but it's domed, you kind of face away from the action as well

I'm making it out to dodger stadium this summer - would also like to see games at the remaining big 3 (yankee, fenway & wrigley - even though I really don't like any of those teams) ..... would also love to go to kaufman, petco & comerica

on a side note - the humidor isn't just unique to coors anymore - all teams are now standardizing the condition of the ball to mfg standards now

My Top 8 +1 so far...

1. SF - AT & T Park - Watched an afternoon game here and it was simply amazing. Guys in little boats in the bay with their bbq grill on a little tube. Just an awesome place.

2. COL - Coors Field - This stadium feels the most open of any I have been too. Love the location in LoDo.

3. LAA - Angel Stadium of Anaheim - Fun venue and walking distance to Disneyland. ;)

4. NYY - Yankee Stadium - If you are a baseball fan, this place is your church.

5. SD - PetCo - Great sightlines.

6. ARI - Bank One Ballpark/Chase - Can we possibly get any more advertising in the place? The food choices are still lacking.

7. NYM - Shea Stadium - Straight out of the 1970s, a fun little place.

8. LA - Dodger Stadium - Had to go to the game by myself, so I think that made it less fun.

30. TB - Tropicana Field

I've been to: (what they were named when I was there)

Old and New Anaheim Stadium
Jack Murphy Stadium
Three Rivers
Camden Yards
Pro Player Stadium
Kingdome
Enron Field
Astrodome
Bank One Ball Park
Candlestick park (friggen cold)
Miller Park

I don't really remember Camden yards, I was there the first year it opened. Miller Park was okay, but it was out of place around the other older buildings, but it was near the Harley Davidson and Miller factories. I've pretty much been in some bad baseball stadiums and I need to get out to the newer ones
