That video makes you feel that indeed this team is headed in the right direction. It also tells you why T. Smith is on this roster. The passion he displays and he can play.

It was also nice to see old man Bidwill down on the sidelines.

I so don't want to have this be a Dave McGinnis 4-2 season. I don't think it will be but man O man I get nervous just thinking about it!!!

Whis's sideline pep talks are a thing of beauty! I love what he said to Pope!

LMAO @ ~2:38 when coach Mac erupted with 'Play some g'damn defense" and had #94 jump out of his skin... that, plus the previous 30 seconds of constant bleeping out expletives (they got really creative with the different sound effects) had me rolling.

Btw, who was #94?

Yep, I laughed a few times too.

So much of this team reminds me of what Howland did for UCLA basketball.

The point for UCLA where you knew they'd turned the corner was the come from behind win over Gonzaga in the West Regional on that steal and layin that left Morrison in tears.

For us I'm really starting to think that blocked punt by Morey may be our version of that steal.

I love how Whiz reinforces the positive, but also teaches when there's a negative. Gives the players the feeling of "wow, I totally f'd that up but he still believes in me. I CAN do it."

I don't think I ever saw Dennis Green talk to a player on the sidelines.

My Cards fanhood began in the Bob Holloway era so it was cool to see some of his sideline tirades.

just shown this over here in the UK between todays games.

i freaked loved that like. i've been following Cardinal football for about 25 years now i guess, and have never really seen much old footage as all we used to get here was about 30 seconds of highlights after Channel 4 showed a 'main game' and what woudl be reported in a magazine called Quterback (later called First Down). Only old DVD i found on the internet was a Stump Mitchell classic against the Eagles.

just gets you pumped up for more football. I heart the:newcards:

Call me a wus but that video put a tear in my eye:newcards:

Me, too.
On a side note, wasn't there some issue back in those days about uber-christian WR P Tilley's objection to HC J Hanifan's colorful language?

WOW!

Also check out the other video; Live Wire: Unsung backs; it features Terrelle Smith and as cardpa stated, "It shows you why he is on the roster."

Thanks that was a great vid too, and it is funny I was rewatching the Cards Boys game and Smith's mike was on during the first fumble by Rome and you hear him very Loudy, "That was a F^*&^ing Fumble", on Fox, way over Aikman and Stocktons commentary, Was watching both vids, Thats funny

Yes, and I heard McCown complain about the same thing in training camp several years ago. Josh was really religious and it was kinda laughable to see him (or anyone) try to get a field full of 100 NFL players to stop swearing.

Then again, it may be over-generous to call the guys from the McGinnis years "NFL players".
