Liverpool (4-3-3) Alisson Lost his showdown with Son for the equaliser and a poor clearance could have proved costly as Kane almost lobbed the ball over him and in. 5/10 Trent Alexander-Arnold Caught out for the Spurs equaliser and his defensive shortcomings were exposed with an inexperienced central defensive pairing inside him. 6/10 Rhys Williams Youngster showed no sign of nerves and emerged with credit but his inexperience was exposed at times by Kane and Son, especially as Spurs exploited those weaknesses on the counter attack. 6/10 Fabinho Older head and his reading of the game was important as he helped deal with Spurs’ speedy attacks. Couple of well-timed and timely interceptions and clearances. 6/10 Andrew Robertson Lively opening in which he looked capable of setting up a chance with his every foray forward was finally closed down as Mourinho adjusted tactically. 6/10 Curtis Jones Youngster looks a comfortable, regular part of Klopp’s first team picture now and showed why with his forays into the box, one of which led to Salah’s opener. 9/10 Jordan Henderson Old stager worked tirelessly and used all his experience in a game of intriguing tactical shifts. His eye for the telling pass into the area was the source of some promising moments. 7/10 Georginio Wijnaldum In the wars with Sissoko and, particularly, Hojbjerg all night long but his tussle with Spurs’ revamped midfield was one of the key battles of the evening. 7/10 Mohamed Salah Began to play more influential role as the first half wore on and deserved his slice of luck with the deflection for the opening goal. 8/10 Roberto Firmino Disappointing night until he slipped away from Alderweireld to head in the last-minute winner from eight yards for only his third goal of the season. Earlier misses were forgotten in an instant. 7/10 Sadio Mané Showed superb strength on a number of occasions against Tottenham’s physical defence and great turn of Aurier ended with him hitting the bar. 7/10
