As the Longhorns look to add to their 2026 class, they got encouraging news earlier this week. The No. 1 prospect in the state and No. 3 offensive tackle in the 2026 class, Felix Ojo, canceled his upcoming visit with Notre Dame. While Ojo is still talking with other teams, that is one less program the Longhorns have to compete with.
Many experts predict that Ojo will end up with the Longhorns. He grew up less than three hours from campus and has been one of their top targets. As he continues to narrow down his list, Ojo is set to visit some of the top programs in the country this spring and summer. His travel plans include trips to Ole Miss, Ohio State, Michigan, Texas, and Oklahoma.
Earlier this offseason, Ojo did not hide his feelings about the Longhorns. He emphasized that Texas has made him a priority during the recruiting process.
"They flat out said and showed that I'm their No. 1 priority when it comes to linemen in the 2026 cycle," Ojo said.
If the Longhorns can land Ojo, their 2026 class will see a rise in the national rankings. They would be getting a five-star lineman who has the potential to be one of the best in the nation at his position. Since Steve Sarkisian took over, Texas has also shown a talent for getting the most out of its offensive linemen.
Over the next few months, Ojo will be a name to watch. The Longhorns will do everything they can to secure a commitment and now have less competition to worry about.
