From taste-testing an exclusive NFL draft-themed beer while enjoying free live music to showing off your quarterback skills to Patrick Mahomes' mom, there are many community events celebrating the 2025 NFL Draft the day before prospects take the stage.
Here's a look at what's happening in and around Green Bay Wednesday, April 23, for the NFL draft.
When/where: 4-11 p.m. April 23 at Leicht Memorial Park, 128 Dousman St., Green Bay
What's happening: The city of Green Bay and On Broadway Inc. will kick off draft weekend with the free, family-friendly event featuring live music acts, food trucks, the exclusive 8th Round Downtown beer, an Artist Alley, giveaways and a kids zone with facepainting and a bounce house. Fireworks presented by Festival Foods will go off around 8:30 p.m. ahead of national headliner De La Soul taking the stage at 9 p.m.
When/where: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at City Stadium, 1500 E. Walnut St., Green Bay
What's happening: The city of Green Bay and the Greater Green Bay YMCA kick off draft weekend with a free, family-friendly event at City Stadium, home to the Green Bay Packers from 1925 to 1956. Participate in eight football-themed stations including a 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle run, catch competition and obstacle course. Randi Mahomes, mother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, will host the QB Challenge at noon. There will also be scorecards, giveaways and food.
When/where: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. April 23 at 610 S. Broadway, Green Bay
What's happening: The ColorBold Business Association is hosting a five-day family-friendly celebration of culture, food and entertainment featuring small business owners. The food truck alley on South Broadway will feature diverse cuisine from several food vendors including soul food, tacos, international bites and sweet treats. The event will continue through April 26 and feature the Draft End Zone Market April 25.
When/where: 4-7 p.m. April 23 at Schreiber Foods headquarters, 400 N. Washington St., Green Bay
What's happening: GENYOUth brings the ultimate Wisconsin supper club experience to Green Bay for a new community impact initiative in collaboration with Schreiber Food and the Packers. Enjoy a menu from 20 Wisconsin supper clubs, renowned chefs, entertainment and a beer garden alongside Packers greats including LeRoy Butler, Jerry Kramer, James Lofton, Dave Robinson and Ahman Green. Proceeds will help end student hunger in the state. Tickets are $800 each at tasteofthenfl.com/taste-of-the-draft-2025.
