Looking for a good video editing software

I am looking to buy editing video software for my computer. I'm looking for something under $200.00 and a software that is computer friendly. Something the average person can use. Any suggestions?

I have Premier 6.5, but I don't know how much it costs...I didn't exactly "pay" for my copy.

Studio DVD. It can be had for $90, but it is designed to edit the MiniDV format entirely in the digital domain. What format do you want to edit?
