My wife and I are looking for a computer program to manage our finances--something where everything can be inputted (life insurance accounts, investment accounts, 401k, etc...), where we can go to a simple program and see everything about our finances quickly--a way to get rid of the paper system I've kept that's bulky and barely manageable. I'd like a way to connect this program with outside sources (for example, to our online B of A checking and bill pay). I've heard Quicken is something like this, but I know nothing about it. I'm very low-tech.

Also, it'd have to be tranferrable to another computer.

Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've used both Quicken and MS Money... Liked them both - however, if I had to choose I would go with Quicken. It's probably a matter of taste I guess, but for me, Quicken fit my eye better...

I agree on all counts.... if you own your own business, Quick Books is a must

Would you recommend it even though I only need it for personal finances?

And thanks for the input, everybody.

If you don't want to spen any money I would say yes or you could go buy Money or Quicken
