Looks like some problems at Oklahoma for Jeff Capel

As in he might be losing his 3 leading scorers off the team early. Freshman PG Tommy Mason-Griffin reportedly informed OU he was leaving the school at Spring break and would not be back. Not clear if he's turning pro or transferring, he was apparently unhappy with the team and also concerned they wouldn't be good next season. Why?

Soph SG Willie Warren, a preseason All American, will reportedly declare for the NBA draft any day now with the intent of hiring an agent and staying in the draft. Warren had a suspension filled and injury plagued season and was not happy with Capel.

And the 3rd player is Freshman F/C Keith "Tiny" Gallon, who according to TMZ.com(amazingly I'm actually referencing TMZ about sports) was found last week to have accepted $3000 from a financial advisor who deals with pro athletes and Gallon will be suspended by both the school and the NCAA. OU hasn't yet confirmed either story.

Huge blows to the program indeed but lets see how their recruiting class ends up. Capel is one hell of a recruiter and not too shabby of a coach either, this is why OKL paid him the big bucks. Looking at the losses, Warren though talented seams like a coaches nightmare, Mason-Griffin & Gallon are really going to hurt because they just finished the FR year and were going to lead this team next year.

Mason-Griffin made it official he's going pro. Apparently all 3 have been pains in the butt to coach. I like capel but it will be interesting to see how this impacts OU it looked liek they were primed to be a perennial contender in the Big 12, losing this much talent in one year could derail that.
