Suns forward Louis Amundson called Nuggets big man Nene a "dirty player" after an altercation between the two on Monday night.

Nene threw a head butt at Amundson during the fourth quarter of Denver's 118-115 loss to Phoenix, which led Amundson to call Nene a "dirty player" and a "fake, tough guy."

After the head butt, Nene earned an ejection for elbowing Amundson.
"He's from Brazil, so I'm sure he knows about soccer tactics like the head butt," said Amundson.

What he is is a Grade A puss. Try that crap on Shaq before trying it on a bench roleplayer type. You want to thug...you take on the big dog.

It was worthy of a flagrant 1 but not more, IMO. The head butt was mild and the shove wasn't vicious either...

I am just thrilled we have a guy like Lou who gets under an opponents skin. I can't remember the last time the Suns had an energy guy on the bench that could.

Hunter used to get under Garnett's skin... it was something to see... sadly no one else. Raja got under quite a few people's skin. I think we'll see some of that from Duds as well, perhaps a bit sneakier than Lou.

That's because you didn't notice the first transgression. A few plays prior to his getting ejected, Nene horse-collared Lou and threw him to the floor. The refs gave him a pass on that one, but not the second one.

Don't forget he got in the face of an official as well, and appeared to make contact.

I watched the replay while watching the Suns game tonight. Nene not only head-butted Amundson but then threw him down afterwards. I consider a head-butt every bit as bad as a punch, maybe worse. I think two games is a light punishment for such a deliberate act.

Intentionally head butting a player should be an automatic flagrant 2 no matter how hard you do it. There is absolutely no basketball related reason to be head butting people. It's a dirty move regardless of how hard you do it.

Maybe I'm missing some joke, but the word you're looking for in your avatar would be "Mamba" as in "Black Mamba", not "Momba".

Anyone who attempts to head butt anything when they are a grown ass person is a loser.

This will be true until Bryant does it, at which point head-butting will become a legitimate way of clearing space when the defender is too close.

Andrew issuing proclamations about what kind of adult behavior qualifies one as a "loser" might be the funniest thing on this board all month.
