Why?? We were all ready to put Louisville in the title game had they run the table. If Rutgers can run the table, believe they still have WVU.....they should go.Great comeback by Rutgers! Now a one loss team gets in to the title game.....

The only 1 loss team that should get consideration is the loser of the OSU/Michigan Game.
Easy guys, everyone was hyping Petrino for a NFL job only a week ago. Those whispers stopped after last night. Schiano is reportedly the next Miami coach and will do good there IMO.

There's no reason to get down on Petrino after this game.
Also, the talk today was that Penn State wants Schiano to take over for Paterno. Schiano started his coaching career there from 91 to 95. That is the ideal fit for him. Taking the Penn State job over the Miami job is a no brainer in my mind.
This conversation is great proof that the BCS sucks rear end. Texas, Florida, Auburn, USC, Cal....all would have terrific arguments to get a shot if they lose one game. Why should defending national champ Texas get no consideration, but Michigan should, when they both would've lost to Ohio St.?
This is the greatest sport in America, but the way champions are determined is just flat out goofy. It's a damn shame that there are teams with no shot to prove they are the best ON THE FIELD every year! Plus, a playoff system in college football would be the MONSTER sporting event. Even the NFL playoffs would have a hard time matching up for excitement and hype.
My point came across the wrong way. I'm not taking away from Petrino after a tough loss. It seems that people are quick to say coaches are ready for the NFL after big wins. People are saying Schiano is NFL ready which just isn't accurate. Granted he has done a great job turning the Rutgers program around but he has only been a HC for 3 years, in the Big East at that.
Maybe it's cause the Cards will be looking for a new HC soon but I think some people are jumping the gun a bit when saying certain coaches are NFL ready
Yep. I agree. Take each comference Champ, several at large bids and have a playoff using the bowls. That way every team has a chance to get into big games, and you are rewarded for winning your conference, not finishing second or third and being higher than a ranked team like Boise State or Rutgers.
I'm gonna be the odd one and say I like it just the way it is.
Look at the discussion we are having. Look at how much each game means.
IMO....the only real thing that needs to be done to fix the BCS is get the computers out...period.

How many Florida vs Western Carolina games do we have to be subjected to? And then these same Big Ten and SEC schools turn around and complain that teams like Louisville, Boise St and West Virginia don't play anybody (hey here's an idea, why don't YOU play them and quit your bitching??). It's really disgusting when you see the politics and old money at work here. Yuck.
I've thought about a 6 or 10 team playoff that would work. But I'm too lazy to post more about it.
