LSU baseball will aim to bounce back from a midweek loss in a three-game weekend series against No. 5 Tennessee.

The No. 4 Tigers were mercy ruled 13-3 against Northwestern State on Tuesday, making it LSU's second-straight loss after the Tigers dropped the series finale to Alabama last weekend. The Volunteers are coming off a 10-run win to Lipscomb, but took a rare SEC series loss last weekend, dropping two of three to Kentucky.

Tennessee boasts a powerful lineup, led by top SEC sluggers Andrew Fischer and Dalton Bargo. The pair ranks inside the conference's top 10 in slugging percentage and OPS, while Fisher is tied for second with 16 home runs.

The Tigers' ace Kade Anderson will take the mound to open the series and look to bounce back from a rough outing last week. He gave up five runs on six hits through 5.2 innings on Thursday against Alabama, but the bullpen showed poise and came through to preserve the victory.
