LSU Baseball starts its SEC schedule this weekend with a three-game series against Missouri.

The top-ranked Tigers will look to build on a 12-game win streak and an 18-4 win in seven innings over Xavier on Tuesday. According to head coach Jay Johnson over the weekend, veteran reliever Gavin Guidry could be returning against the Tigers.

LSU recorded 18 hits in Tuesday's win, posting all but one of its runs in the first three innings. Tanner Reaves hit a grand slam and finished 2-for-3 while Jared Jones and Daniel Dickinson also clubbed homers against the Musketeers.

Six relievers saw action for LSU as starter William Schmidt earned the win. They combined for 13 strikeouts and limited Xavier to four hits through the first six innings.

Missouri is 8-8 heading into the three-game set. It took two of four games against Binghamton last weekend, including a 16-6 outburst in game one of a doubleheader on Saturday. Mateo Serna leads the Tigers with 21 hits, including four doubles and three home runs, and 19 RBI. He, Jackson Lovich, and Kaden Peer have started every contest. The Tigers have the most strikeouts of every SEC team with 142.

Here is a preview of every game for LSU's SEC opener in Baton Rouge.

The series starts on Friday evening with LSU ace Kade Anderson taking the mound. Through four games and 21.2 innings, he has a 2.08 ERA and a team-best 37 strikeouts. Anderson has allowed just five runs and six walks thus far. The southpaw will look to stay on a roll against a strikeout-prone Missouri team.

The Tigers will send senior left Ian Lohse to the bump. He has a 5.12 ERA through four starts and is looking for his first win of the season. Through 19.1 innings, Lohse allowed 11 earned runs on 20 hits while striking out 26. In his last time out, he went 5.1 innings and allowed five runs against Binghamton.

Saturday -- 6:00 PM CT, SEC Network+

Right-hander Anthony Eyanson will pitch the Saturday contest and attempt to follow up a career performance. The junior recorded 15 strikeouts through seven innings after facing adversity in the first inning against North Alabama. He owns a 3.00 ERA and 35 strikeouts through 20 innings for LSU

Wil Libbert will get the start for Missouri. Through 13.1 innings, he has a 5.40 ERA and 12 strikeouts. Redshirt freshman lefty has allowed eight runs on 12 hits, looking for his second win of the season. Last week against Binghamton, he pitched 3.2 innings and allowed two runs on four hits.

Sunday -- 1:00 PM CT, SEC Network+

LSU will send Chase Shores to the mound for the series finale on Sunday. He pitched 20 innings in his four starts, giving up seven runs on 22 hits. Five of those innings came last weekend against North Alabama when he allowed two runs and struck out four. The sophomore right-hander owns a 3.15 ERA.

Missouri's Kadden Drew will close out the series. He has a 3.43 ERA and owns a 2-0 record through four starts. The junior lefty pitched a team-high 21 innings and struck out 15 so far, giving up eight runs on 20 hits. Last time out, he allowed two runs on seven hits against Binghamton.
