LSU baseball had won 17 straight entering Saturday night's game with Texas, but the Longhorns (18-3, 4-1 SEC) snapped that streak, beating the Tigers (22-2, 4-1), 11-7.

Unlike Friday's game, Saturday was a slugfest with both teams going blow for blow. After LSU took a 2-0 lead in the top of the fourth, Texas responded in the bottom of the frame with two runs of their own. The top of the fifth saw the Tigers score three more, with the Longhorns scoring four runs in the bottom. After Derek Curiel homered in the top of the sixth to give LSU the lead again, Texas scored twice more in the bottom of the seventh to take the lead for good, tacking on another three runs in the next inning.

The Tigers and Longhorns will meet Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. CT for the rubber match of this series.
