Of course the hot rumor has been assumed for ages now their first choice to replace Brady will be Tim Floyd the USC coach. Floyd used to coach New Orleans, has close ties to Louisiana, hell he's even good friends with Brady which is why he insisted a month ago he had no interest in the job.

The other rumor is of course the LSU recruits, specifically 2008 C J'Mison Morgan who signed an LOI to LSU but now has no idea who his coach is.

Kansas, Alabama, LSU and UCLA were his final 4. I'm pretty confident UCLA is completely out I don't know they'd take morgan now even if he called them up and said he wanted to come, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if Morgan asked out of his LOI and re-opened his recruitment.

Seems weird all these midseason coaching changes.

If Floyd goes to USC, where does Derozan end up? Or has No Limit paid him enough to stay at Troy?

The domino effect on this would be interesting. USC loses Floyd they go after Mike Montgomery? Maybe Mark Few, maybe Jamie Dixon.

FLoyd goes to LSU can he keep Morgan, does Greg Monroe ask out of his LOI at Georgetown to follow Floyd to LSU etc.

Monty at USC would be a huge move for SC, he's not only a good coach unlike Floyd he understands how to build a sustainable program not just sign a bunch of mercenaries. Considering that Floyd has done a pretty good job this year, when USC plays well theyr'e as good as anybody, they're just inconsistent because they're so volatile.

Rivals says Floyd and Anthony Grant of VCU are the 2 preferred candidates for LSU.

Could be an interesting offseason in the Pac 10, OSU already fired John, Oregon could be looking to replace Kent, Floyd, Braun at Cal in trouble again, and Tony Bennett at WSU his name comes up everywhere.

Yahoo says if Floyd takes the job USC would probably offer the job to Jamie Dixon of Pitt.

USC fans seem to think Mike Montgomery would be their first choice. Remember when UCLA played Pitt last year in the tournament Dixon and Howland talked at length about hating having to play each other because they're such good friends, would be pretty interesting if they were at rival schools in the same conference competing for the same recruits that friendship would be tested.

Plus, in the Pac10, who knows what is really going to happen in Tucson.

Is the LSU job an attractive one? Serious question. I'm puzzled.

Why would Floyd leave one football school to coach at another one, in a less attractive place to live?
