LSU football signed college football's top-ranked transfer portal class in 2025. A big part was the additions of wide receivers Barion Brown and Nic Anderson. Both Brown and Anderson arrive with SEC experience and NFL potential.

But another transfer wide receiver may be flying under the radar -- former Florida State WR Destyn Hill.

Hill committed Florida State in 2021 as a four-star recruit from Edna Karr High School in New Orleans. According to On3, Hill was the No. 14 ranked wide receiver in his class.

LSU head coach Brian Kelly met with the media last week and discussed Hill's return to Louisiana.

"He feels a lot more comfortable making the move because he knows players, he's played against them, and he's had them on his team. So the transition for Destyn has really been seamless, and it's made it easy for him," Kelly said, "He's been somebody that maybe didn't get as much recognition early on. He's had a really good offseason and done a really nice job for us. So I think that transition has made it easier for him to kind of blend. in right away."

Hill didn't join Florida State until two years after his commitments. He played sparingly in 2023 before an injury kept him out for all of 2024. Hill caught six passes for 87 yards in his time with the Seminoles.
