BATON ROUGE — LSU women's basketball didn't have to sweat much against San Diego State in the opening round March Madness matchup.
Kim Mulkey and the Tigers got off to a blazing start and went on to win 103-48 inside Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Saturday night. The win moves No. 3 LSU (29-5) on to face No. 6 Florida State in an NCAA Tournament second round game at 5 p.m. Monday.
Should the Tigers win against the Seminoles, they'll advance to the Spokane 1 Region next week, held at Spokane Arena in Spokane, Washington.
