LOL, Charlie Weiss thinks he's coaching Boise State.

It looks like the Tigers came to play.

Good game so far.
The half time adjustments will be interesting.
I still like LSU in this game.

Notre Dame is always overrated. Glad to see LSU win.

Small Game Quinn and the rest of the Irish are not suprisingly a complete fraud. Wake me up when they actually beat an elite team, until then they're not "back" despite what the national media keeps telling us.

I'm amazed by all the Charlie Weiss love although he hasn't won a big game. In fact, his team has been blown out in every big game...

If Quinn played for Purdue and had identical numbers, he wouldn't be a top-10 pick. He's a solid player but the Notre Dame tag is the only thing pushing that kid to a number one pick.

I'm sick of Notre Dame and all the passes they get from the NCAA. Quit playing in the Academy Conference and join a real one (I don't care if your doing them a favor, it was 60 years ago), you'll get rocked on a weekly basis

That's not true. Brees did fine in the draft from Purdue. Cutler was a top 15 pick from Vandy. NFL scouts don't really care where you played in college, they care about NFL potential. It's not set in stone that Quinn will be a top 10 pick. I have a feeling he'll drop as the draft approaches.

Come on man, your gonna tell me that him playing at ND and getting national exposure every game isn't helping his draft status. I don't need a recap of past QB's from smaller colleges. I would bet a high dollar Brees had better college numbers and he went in the 2nd round. He is now one of the best QB's in the NFL.

Obvioulsy scouts look for NFL potential but playing at a school like Notre Dame will help your draft status, especially in Quinns case. He is a very good QB but I wouldn't consider him the best player in the draft and probably not even the best QB in the draft

NFL guys look at a lot of stuff. They fall in love with "potential" at the combine. If Notre Dame QB's are so overexposed, when was the last time a Notre Dame QB went higher in the draft than they deserved? Heck, Leinart from USC (an equally media darling school) fell to #10.

The one play in this game that bugged me the most, and got no mention at all from the announcers, was the fake FG by LSU where the kicker ran for the first down. If you watched the play, the ND guy that tackled knocked him down and then after the play, continued pushing him, driving his head back into the ground while he was moving forward. He got up, the kicker sat there clearly woozy, and no penalty?

the kicker is a baseball player so he's not a non athlete, but it was pretty clear to me that the ND player was sending a message if you're going to run fakes, we're going to take out your kicker?
